Decided to take some of my American and Mexican friends to a Korean BBQ for dinner today. Disappointed I have to say. Instead of being mature and open minded about meeting a foreign culture, one of them decided to poke fun at everything he could at the Korean restaurant.
A) I'm embarrassed that I have such a friend.
B) I realized that some areas of the world is still very close minded. Either that or the upbringing of that particular friend was particularly narrow minded.
C) I need to second doubt myself next time when I do such a cross-cultural event for them.
Other than that particular pain in the ass individual, dinner went well.
